Leveraging advanced 3D modeling software, I designed this mount to perfectly accommodate a specific battery, considering all necessary dimensions and specifications. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the ergonomic placement of veclro points, to the material choice for optimal strength and durability. Through additive manufacturing, I brought this digital design to life, utilizing 3D printing technology to create a tangible, functional battery mount that seamlessly fits its intended purpose. This project highlights my proficiency in utilizing 3D modeling and additive manufacturing techniques to produce efficient and tailored solutions.
Purpose
The battery mount within an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) serves a critical purpose in ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of the vehicle's power system. Its primary function is to securely house and organize the batteries that power the AUV, providing a stable and protected environment for these vital energy sources. The mount is designed to optimize the placement of batteries, distributing weight and ensuring the AUV's buoyancy and stability are maintained in the challenging underwater environment. Additionally, it allows for easy access to batteries for maintenance, replacement, or recharging, ensuring the AUV's uninterrupted functionality during extended missions beneath the water surface. Ultimately, the battery mount is essential for the AUV's autonomy and longevity, enabling successful data collection, exploration, and operations in the water.
